About
Please note Betsy's Tea Room is closed throughout December.
Alfonso La Cava opened St James Restaurant in Bushey Village in 1997. Having worked in the restaurant industry for most of his life, his vision was to offer local residents a modern, fine dining experience with the promise of using only the freshest ingredients, carefully selected wines and a menu that would make dining out memorable.
The Restaurant’s latest venture is Betsy’s Tea Room, which launched in 2018. The Tea Room serves traditional Afternoon Tea and classic Cream Tea, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free menu options available. St James Restaurant is proud to be one of the longest running independent businesses on Bushey High Street and hopes to continue for many more years to come.
The tea room serves traditional Afternoon Tea from Tuesday to Saturday, midday to 4pm (last sitting 3pm). Enjoy a classic menu of delicate finger sandwiches, delicious plain and fruit scones served with Cornish clotted cream, fruit preserves and lemon curd. Not forgetting an enjoyable assortment of petit fours which includes St James’s Toblerone cheesecake. The menu offers a range of quality whole leaf tea supplied by tea masters Teapigs and Jeeves & Jericho.
