About
Located in the heart of Belgravia, COMO The Halkin is London's first boutique design hotel, showcasing stunning contemporary design, together with healthy eating and delicious cuisine.
With flavours from Bali to Belgravia, each aspect of the Shambhala Afternoon Tea is inspired by the COMO Shambhala holistic wellness concept, and draws on recipes from the COMO Shambhala book, The Pleasure of Eating Well, which marries expert nutrition and pleasurable gastronomy. Designed to boost concentration and energy and to cleanse the body from the inside out.
With this concept in mind, Executive Chef Ruben Briones has developed an Afternoon Tea which is mostly guilt-free. Core to the philosophy is maintaining the nutritional integrity of the original foods’ essential components, allowing you to benefit from the ‘life force’ of specific ingredients - many of them raw, with dishes including spiced crispy prawns with orange blossom purée, kaffir lime, coriander and citrus from the savoury platter. A cucumber jelly, mango and passionfruit ‘cheesecake’ served with an apple and avocado sorbet, plus coconut and hibiscus flavours, complete the dessert platter. Served in exquisite and relaxed surroundings.
Afternoon Tea is served every day and costs £55 per person.
Pre-booking is essential.
